System blind spotsīlind spots can lead to incorrect decisions. This system requires more effort but it is also more reliable than system 1. Answering difficult equations such as 27x42, or extensively thinking through a problem with a high level of concentration. It is based on logical thought and complex problem solving. System 2 is the slower and deliberate thinking system. It is also the system that is responsible for answering simple equations such as 2+2. Based on our emotions and feelings, it helps us guide our everyday decisions. System 1 is the fast instinctive and unconscious way of thinking. This means that if we can be conscious of them, we can start making smarter decisions. These errors are part of a systematic pattern. But there are also cognitive errors in our mind that lead to irrationality and inaccurate judgements. Thinking Fast and Slow In the book Thinking Fast and Slow, Daniel Kahneman mentions two separate systems that we use to make decisions - fast and slow thinking.
